Taylor Futterknecht drilled homers in each end of a doubleheader Saturday as Saint Francis split the twin bill with Marian. Futterknecht, a Saint Francis junior and Elkhart Central graduate, went 2-for-2 with three runs batted in during the opener as the Cougars edged Marian 7-6. He homered again in the nightcap and drove in two runs with a 2-for-4 effort, but Marian prevailed 14-8.

The School of Hard Knocks and Jim Reinebold Fall Baseball Camp Border Wars Baseball Series has three games scheduled today at Coveleski Stadium. Dowagiac plays South Bend Washington at 10 a.m, followed by Penn against St. Joseph (Mich.) at 1 p.m. and Jimtown against Edwardsburg at 4. Cost is $5 for adults and students.
